Smooth from the start
TRADITIONAL TEQUILA PRODUCTION INVOLVES baking the agave in brick ovens which tends the leave a lingering bite in the tequila from the smoke.
In developing Don Sueños we chose to use an autoclave to perfectly steam our agave. This helps ensure that we extract the best from the agave without injecting unnecessary bite.
New vs. Old
There are some who argue that to get the best tequila the agave must the crushed under a volcanic rock.
We aren’t sure what the magic rock is supposed to do, but we know what when you taste Don Sueños you will agree with us that our more efficient roller shredder gets every drop of taste our agave have to offer.
Distilled to Perfection
To achieve the flavor and smoothness of our Super-Premium Don Sueños tequila we distill twice in different kinds of stills.
Our copper still imparts a rustic flavor and removes undesirable sulfur compounds. Don Sueños is finished in a stainless-steel still to refine the flavor profile.
100% Pure
After distillation Don Sueños Tequila Blanco is either bottled or put into American Oak Whiskey Barrels to age.
Most consumers don’t know that THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT ALLOWS UP TO 1% ADDITIVES in Reposado and Añejo tequila (AND MANY POPULAR BRANDS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS RULE).
